Actor Liam Neeson, known for his action movies like "Taken", reportedly saved a stray dog from teenage boys, who were attacking it with stones.
Neeson was apparently jogging in Central Park here when he "charged down a path" after hearing a woman shout that the boys were throwing stones at the puppy, reports dailymail.co.uk.
The "Non Stop" star "confronted three gangbanger wannabe types who were throwing rocks at a stray they'd cornered up against a trash bin," showbizspy.com quoted a source as saying. "Liam yelled that they'd better stop or he'd knock the c*** out of them - but the punks just swaggered up and warned him to mind his own business.' "In a fury, he warned them to back off fast - or else!," the insider added.
The boys reportedly dropped their stones and ran away, which is said to be due to a policeman who was seen approaching them. The 61-year-old then tried to comfort the dog.
"Liam just shook his head and approached the shivering dog, stroking it while the policeman assessed its injuries," the source said.
