Sridevi, who ruled over Bollywood for more than one-and-a-half-decades after remaining on top in Tamil and Telugu films in the late seventies and early eighties, is all set to enter Hollywood. The 50-year old Sridevi looks still stunning enough to be considered for heroine's roles in Hindi films and made a successful comeback to films with late last year’s English Vinglish.
Sridevi has been signed up to star in an English film along with 64-year old Oscar award-winner Meryl Streep. Sridevi has confirmed that talks are on with the producers of the film and that she hasn't yet given the final 'go-ahead'.
The film has been tentatively titled as Cowboys and Indians. Critics feel that the title might run into trouble in India as and when the film is released some time next year. However, as the titled is a tentative one, it has chances of getting replaced by another non-controversial one.
Amy Redford, daughter of Hollywood actor-director Robert Redford, would be directing the film.
Expressing her excitement at getting to share screen-space with the legendary Meryl Streep, Sridevi said "No doubt I'm damn excited about the project; I shall reveal more details about the film when it is finalized!"
